The first Romanian team eliminated from Europe is Dinamo, who played very weak in first half of the match from Split. Having an advantage of two goals from first leg, Dinamo started the game from Split very weak, where about 29.000 fans of Hajduk came to support their favourites. The first ten minutes didn't announce what it followed, the team of Andone keeping the ball away of Curca's post. It was needed only a spark of the hosts in attack and the scoreboard has changed. Vukasic received a pass on the right side and taking advantage of Pulhac's hesitation he managed to defeat Curca with a shot at short corner. It was 12th minute and the stands of the stadium from Split became volcanic. Seven minutes later the same Curca managed to save his team at a free kick executed tricky by Ibricic. The advantage of "red dogs" from first leg was shattered in 23rd minute, when Brkljaca scored for 2-0 with a pretty weak shot from the box, the ball entering into the net with the "help" of goalkeeper Curca too. Marius Niculae tried his shot two minutes later, but the ball went beside the post of Subasic. The hosts were not satisfied with the result from the scoreboard and Tomasov scored for 3-0 with seven minutes before halftime, when he sent a beautiful shot from 25 meters, without hope for Romanian keeper. After the break, Dinamo had a different attitude. Because the Croat team retired in defense, the players of Dinamo were more courageous and had more goal opportunities. The first came in 50th minute, when Torje made Subasic to plunge and Niculae got only a corner after the ball rejected by goalkeeper. Eight minutes later, Adrian Cristea missed a good opportunity to score, shooting over the post after a race of Pulhac on left side. Entered on the field after the break, Andrei Cristea missed a good opportunity in 80th minute, when he shot beside, being with his back at the post. Dinamo were looking for the goal which would have sent the match in extra time, but without effect. The problem was that players of Dinamo woke up too late.
Ioan Andone, coach of Dinamo: "I have made mistakes in forming of the team and the players didn't understand what I wanted from them. I am responsible for this failure. After something like that, you feel like you should leave the job. I apologize to the fans. We made unacceptable mistakes for a team like Dinamo. Some players have disappointed me terribly. I have never experienced something like that in my career. We had no aggressiveness and we looked like a team who didn't want to qualify".
