Național made short work of second division CFR Ecomax Cluj-Napoca,
winning 4-0 at home against a side which had accounted for Romanian First
Division teams Gloria Bistrița and Sportul Studențesc. Național coach
Walter Zenga insisted that his players took the match seriously, and they
took the initiative, opening up a 3-0 lead inside 20 minutes. Sorin Iodi
opened the scoring in the first minute, a M.Rus own goal after 14 minutes
made it 2-0 and Gigel Coman's strike five minutes later kept the pot boiling.
Robert Ghindeanu scored ten minutes from time to complete the route.
